Who to ring
Piped water reached the village in 1934, from a tower holding 33,000 gallons. These days you just ring someone.
Which bin, which day
Most homes in the village are on Wednesdays:
- Today Recycling and food waste
- Wed 11 Nov Black bin and food waste
A few addresses are on a different day, so check yours if you're not sure. Some homes also have garden waste, which is by subscription. The council plans to change black bins to every three weeks from spring 2027, and these dates should follow when it does.
